About R&G Electric
R&G Electric is a La Puente electrical service business led by Richard Rubalcava, a Los Angeles Trade-Technical College graduate from the Class of 1984 with 42 years in the electrical trade as of 2026. Richard began working for the State of California in 1992 and spent much of his career handling electrical work in correctional facilities, including late-night and weekend emergency calls, while also building R&G. He retired from state service in 2020 and now runs R&G full time with his son Giovanni, the “G” in the name; Richard is the “R.” Richard especially enjoys difficult troubleshooting calls where the answer has to be worked out, and he considers installations and electrical panel upgrades core specialties.
